What are "unclaimed funds"?

Unclaimed funds are old bank accounts, refunds, investments or life insurance policies, etc.

why haven't i been notified about my unclaimed funds before?

The original holder and the state does the best the can to notify you if the funds are considered unclaimed. However, most states have millions of dollars that they are managing so it’s not uncommon for you to have not been notified. 

WHO RECIEVES THE MONEY?

YOU! If you are the rightful owner the State will mail a check directly to you. We will send you an invoice for our fee which is payable upon receipt of your check. DO NOT work with any unclaimed finder that requires an up front fee. We only get paid after you get paid. 

IF THE OWNER HAS PASSED AWAY, WHO CAN CLAIM THE FUNDS?

The surviving spouse, children, parents, other living relatives, trustee or the personal representative can claim the funds. If the letter we sent you is for a deceased individual we believe you are the correct person to claim the funds.
